Learning to Hold Myself
There was a time I thought healing meant finding someone who could take the pain away — someone to steady me, to be the reason I stayed strong.
But love, in its quietest truth, teaches us something deeper.
That the person who once held your storm was never meant to keep it — only to remind you that calm exists within you, too.
Now, when the day bleeds into nightfall and the ache returns,
I close my eyes, breathe, and remember:
I can be my own safe place.
I can be someone I love.
